Welcome to the Rights & Reproductions Work Order

This work order system pertains to obtaining high-resolution digital files from non-LACMA sources, artist and/or photographer copyright permissions for LACMA’s use and fair use reviews.

Please select the "Sign in with Google" option and use your LACMA email address to enter the system. By logging in you can:

• Create new tickets
• Get the status of your existing tickets
• Add comments and answer questions
• Update your contact information so we can stay in touch with you if needed.

Please include a priority level that reflects the urgency of the request. Please plan work orders ahead of time to avoid abusing the urgent and emergency priority levels.

• Emergency: 24 Hours
• Urgent: 1-4 Days
• Normal: 2-3 weeks
• Low: 4-6 weeks

While every effort will be made to accommodate your requested deadline, please note that permissions from third parties can take some time, particularly when involving artists and estates represented by Artists Rights Society (www.arsny.com). It is not uncommon for ARS requests to take 2-4 weeks (or longer).

Work Order Categories

• Commercial Use/Product Request

Select this option if you are requesting copyright permission for commercial product that will be sold to the public. Please provide object accession numbers, TMS/ODIN package name, link to Google Drive or Collections Online URL. Please provide a PDF of the design and note that a sample of the product may be required for final permission.

• Digital ONLY Request

Select this option if you are requesting photography or copyright permission for lacma.org, email blasts, or social media use. Please provide object accession numbers, TMS/ODIN package name, link to Google Drive or Collections Online URL. For lacma.org requests, please include the URL for the webpage.

• Printed Material ONLY Request

Select this option if you are requesting photography or copyright permission for printed materials (invitations, save-the dates, brochures, etc.). Please provide object accession numbers, TMS/ODIN package name, link to Google Drive or Collections Online URL.

• Print & Digital Request

Select this option if your intended use is both print and digital. Please provide object accession numbers, TMS/ODIN package name, link to Google Drive or Collections Online URL. Please provide PDFs of the designs.

• Video Request

Select this option if you are requesting digital material (audio/ video/ photography) or copyright permission for video production. Provide as much information about the use as you are able to, including if artworks will be shown as still images or filmed, how the video will be distributed/ where it will be posted. Please indicate if the video may be shared with copyright holders.
